Food Pantry
Shallowford provides emergency food to individuals and families in DeKalb County up to four times in a calendar year. We serve over 400 families and distribute more than 15,000 pounds of food a year.
If you need food assistance, please call the United Way for a referral to Shallowford’s Food Pantry (dial 211 or call 404-614-1000) or to the Food Pantry closest to you. You should bring a photo ID, your Social Security card, and some form of identification on other members of your household.
The Food Pantry is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Shallowford Presbyterian Church is on MARTA routes 33 and 91. For driving directions, click here [include link to directions]. Once you arrive at the church, enter through the church office door under the red awning.
If you would like to support our Food Pantry, either through food or monetary donations or by volunteering your time, please
contact Kay Sims. A Food Pantry Donation Guide is available.
Support Shallowford's Food Pantry
We appreciate—and need—your support! Special requests in August include peanut butter and spaghetti sauce. We need medium and large shopping bags with handles for the food pantry. It is especially helpful for those who are walking or taking the bus. You can also pick up a copy of the Food Donation Guide at the Information Kiosk. For additional information, contact Kay Sims. Cash donations are also welcome.
