First Worship 8:45 a.m.

chapeldedication10The First Worship service, held in the newly renovated Chapel, is an intimate forty-five minute service that includes prayer, scripture, congregational hymns, and a message from the pastor. On the second Sunday of every month, the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) is celebrated.

Service of the Lord’s Day 11:00 a.m.

Our weekly Service for the Lord’s Day is held at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary or, during Sanctuary renovations this summer and fall, in the Great Hall. This service includes prayers, Scripture readings and a sermon, as well as choral and instrumental music. The Chancel Choir (the church’s adult choir) sings in 11:00 a.m. worship most Sundays from August through May. Shallowford’s wonderful high school Chapel Choir, children’s choirs, and hand bell choirs also regularly offer music during the 11:00 a.m. service. We observe the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on the second Sunday of every month during the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Throughout the year, a variety of special services are offered at Shallowford. Visit our website often for information about upcoming worship opportunities, musical offerings, and sermon titles and texts.
