Those words from the Christmas carol, “O Holy Night,” will serve as our Advent theme this year at Shallowford. Through the lens of Old and New Testament scriptures, we will explore where hope comes from and, just as importantly, where it might lead.

Midweek Series

“Show and Tell” It on the Mountain

Wednesdays | 11:00 am | Choir Room

Advent is a season for sharing! Each week in this small group series, you will be asked to bring a physical item to “show and tell” as we deepen our faith and our relationships together.

December 6: Bring your favorite Christmas ornament.
December 13: Bring something that is older than you.
December 20: Bring a Christmas treat to share.

Entering Advent Services

Tuesday, December 5
11 am & 7 pm, Chapel

A worship serve led by the members of Shallowford Presbyterian Women inviting all members to pause, pray, and reflect as we begin the season of Advent at Shallowford.

Lunch will be served following the 11:00am service for any worshippers interested. Please RSVP HERE.

Service of Comfort & Hope

Tuesday, December 19
7:00 pm, Chapel

An intimate service of music, scripture, and prayer focused on compassion, remembrance, and healing. We will light candles together and be reminded of Christ’s light amidst the darkness.

Christmas Eve

Sunday, December 24
11 am & 7 pm

11:00 am — A 60-minute service including traditional worship elements and a special interactive telling of the Christmas story. Children will be able to choose from a variety of costume options.

7:00 pm — A traditional candlelight service with professional instrumentalists, the reading of lessons and carols, and a meditation.

A Community Concert — All are welcome!

A Shallowford favorite and annual Christmas concert for the community, where you will hear holiday favorites! This concert features members from the youth and adult choirs and professional musicians.
