LaVilla School of the Arts is a public magnet middle school in Jacksonville, Florida. LaVilla’s campus is located in the heart of the historic LaVilla neighborhood, which was once covered with jazz clubs and theaters. It was known as the Harlem of the South where many of the greatest Jazz and Blues artists came to perform. In its 23-year history, LaVilla soloists, ensembles and choruses have established a precedent of receiving the highest ratings by adjudication in local and national festivals. Since 2003, LaVilla’s combined tour chorus has been well received on multiple international invitational concert tours, visiting Austria, England, Italy, Greece, France, and Canada.  They have performed in National competitions in New York, Williamsburg, Atlanta, Orlando, and Nashville.
