Dear Shallowford family,

It is hard to believe that it has been ten weeks since we were last in the sanctuary together. Over those ten weeks, Shallowford has responded faithfully and responsibly by closing our campus to protect our community, while continuing to worship and fellowship together from afar. While we greatly miss being together, we are confident that the Spirit is with us.

In order to prioritize the health of our members, staff, clergy, and community, Shallowford will continue to worship online in June and July. The session’s COVID-19 task force is hard at work brainstorming and strategizing what it will look like for us to return to the church campus safely. Our discussions are based upon our faith in God, the science of COVID-19, and our experiences in the medical and public health fields, as well as guidance from the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.

Join us for a webinar on Tuesday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the task force’s work and Shallowford’s response to COVID-19.

Jesus said that he would be with us always, “to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). Jesus is certainly with us now, through the presence and care of our church family.

Peace,
