Mindfulness for Spiritual Attentiveness & Renewal

A new offering for new or experienced meditators from Stillwaters Mindfulness Training.
This three-week class offers a place of refuge to slow down and listen deeply, allowing the noise around us —and within in us — to subside. Together, we’ll explore life-giving spiritual practices for mindful awareness that attune our hearts and minds to that still small voice within. This opens pathways to deeper relationship — to hearing and being heard; to knowing and being known. As the walls within and without are transformed into bridges of connection and understanding, we are able to live life fully, choosing hope and trusting the love that binds everything together, no matter the outer circumstance.
Mindfulness meditation and other mindful awareness practices can be described as the “next generation of exercise.” As we strengthen our capacity for mindful awareness, we develop deep inner resources for living, healing, and relating to ever-increasing levels of stress and anxiety in our fast-paced world. Ancient contemplative wisdom intersects with modern western neuroscience to reveal that, with practice, our brains can literally be “rewired” for resilience and compassion.

Tuition: $50 for this 3-week class offered through Shallowford Family Counseling Center
