September 29, 2018 through November 17, 2018
Saturdays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Each year, Shallowford Presbyterian Church partners with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, and many local churches to live the vision of making sure everyone has a decent place to live. With support from volunteers, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.

This year we are excited to help build a home for Mr. Simon and his family! Mr. Simon is the homebuyer and knows a thing or two about construction, as this is in his line of work. In his spare time, he enjoys singing, building, cooking and working out. He also enjoys helping others, especially through his volunteer activities mentoring incarcerated men. In addition, he is active in his church, and he enjoys taking his five grandchildren to the YMCA. Mr. Simon wants his own home for security, as a gathering place for his family, and to be a legacy for his children. He is excited to build his home within walking distance of his daughter and his newest grandchild.
Ways to Volunteer
- Hands on Work · Spend your Saturdays working with your hands to either build or restore a local Habitat home.
- Food for the Soul · If you feel called to volunteer in a different way, we offer members the opportunity to volunteer through bringing meals for the crew. Everyone has to eat, right?
- Donate · Give a Monetary Donation
