Digital Discipleship

Whether we worship from our campus or from the comfort of our own homes, Shallowford’s mission statement remains the same, “Inviting all people to a faithful way of life in Christ and in community.” Together, we invite you for intentional opportunities to connect online as Shallowford Presbyterian Church embraces a new way to do church.

In-Home Communion

On March 7, 2021, all worshipers will be invited to partake in the Lord’s Supper during Shallowford’s 8:45 a.m. online worship service.
Here’s what you need to do to prepare:
  • Gather the elements: bread and cup. You can choose any piece of bread (or cracker). Pour a small cup of juice or wine (or water is fine too).
  • Set the table. Clear a space where you will celebrate the sacrament that gives you access to the device where you will stream the worship service. If you have a cross or another symbol of Christ’s love, you may choose to include that in your space or on your table.
  • Engage in worship. We hope you will sing the songs, say the prayers aloud, and partake in the Lord’s Supper with us!

Journey Toward Racial Understanding

Walk Humbly - Journey Toward Racial Understanding

Join us for “Walk Humbly:  Journeying Toward Racial Understanding.”

As a church family let’s talk about racism with a four-week journey of listening, learning, and reflection. No matter when you choose to start your journey, we welcome on this path to “walk humbly”! Each week, we will lift up seven resources (Bible studies, sermons, articles, podcasts, videos, and movies) about racism and anti-racism. You are encouraged to engage at least 3 of them.

Learning to love God and our neighbors is the life-long journey of discipleship. Wherever you find yourself on that path, you are invited to come along with us to “Walk Humbly”. Together, let’s be open to the transformative power of the Spirit!
