Over the next 6 months, the International Rescue Committee of Atlanta (IRC) will resettle over 1,000 Afghan evacuees. Shallowford is eager to welcome and work with our new neighbors through IRC’s Family Sponsorship Program H.O.M.E (Housing Outreach Mission Education). In collaboration with IRC, H.O.M.E teams assist with apartment/home set-up, targeted financial assistance, and ongoing mentorship during a family’s first six months in the United States. If you have questions about the resettlement process, please contact Prue Swerlick.

Gift Diapers & Baby Supplies

The Nikzads welcomed a baby girl into their family last week! Mom, dad, and all seven siblings could use diaper and baby supplies.

Work with Our Family

We need helpers to clean and set-up the apartment, tutor children and adults, and empower our family with skills to succeed in the United States.
