Our Chapel Choir is made up of 80+ students in grades 6-12 from schools all around Atlanta who have a ball learning to sing, making new friends, working hard, goofing off and most importantly, touring a concert each summer. Summer tours have led us around the country (such as Key West, Boston, North Carolina) and every four years we tour Scotland! All skill levels are welcome. Students are committed to participating in weekly rehearsals (Sundays, 4:30-6 pm) as well as presentations during occasional Sunday morning worship, holiday services and fundraising events. Chapel Choir is directed by Shallowford’s Director of Music, Emily Floyd.
If you know a youth who should be singing in our youth choir, please contact Emily Floyd at [email protected]
Shallowford Bell Choir
All students in grades 6-12 and all skill-levels can join our hand bell choir, made up of about 20 youth. We work hard, rehearsing Wednesdays 6:30-7: 45 pm, and have a blast performing during worship services on some Sundays and special events. Our bells add a bright, vibrant piece to worship. Contact Emily Floyd at [email protected] for details.
Annual Tree Sale Fundraiser
This is one of our biggest fundraisers! Our youth help manage orders sales and pick-up of the freshest evergreen trees, wreaths and roping brought to Shallowford straight from a North Carolina tree farm at the start of the Christmas season.
Scotland Summer Tour 2016
Every four years, the youth choir takes a Presbyterian heritage tour to Scotland.
