Wind down with a mid-week yoga class taught by Shallowford member Laurel McCullough. The group will meet weekly in the library for a 60 minute session including Slow Flow & Yin Yoga styles. Mats are available; donations are appreciated; beginners and experienced meditators are always welcome! Namaste
Join Doug Freitag on Wednesday evenings starting for a discussion series on King David's Court & Family Drama. Doug is looking for at least 15 class members that are ready to discuss and share to make this a successful series.
The next Care Minister training will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the Library. All are invited to join us for dinner before hand at 5:45 pm in the Great Hall.

Join our Young Adult Small Group and help pack hygiene kits at the church-wide Presbyterian Disaster Relief packing event. Following the event, members will eat dinner at Napoleon’s. During January 2019, Shallowford members of all ages are encouraged to bring food donations to the church office in support of Souper Bowl of Caring on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
Join us in the Great Hall following 11:00 am worship for a meal shared together. We will hear updates from Rev. John Semmes, Bob Smithers regarding the Pastor Nominating Committee , and Nancy Phillimore regarding church finances. Children under 5 are free; children 5-12 are $5.00; older children and adults are $8.00. Family maximum is $25.00.

This Spring Break, Shallowford High School students have an incredible opportunity to mobilize and help our neighbors in a time of great need through Experience Mission. You are invited to come immerse yourself in 12 stations of the cross focused on Jesus' journey for a Holy Week experience Monday, April 15, 2019, through Friday, April 19, 2019, in the Shallowford chapel.
As your youth enters one of the poorest parts in the United States, they will see not much has changed in the 50 years. They will invest in outreach projects and tackle home repair projects for families in need. Many of the homes leftover from the coal industry era are in desperate need of repairs families cannot afford. With such positive reviews from last year, we will be unplugging and disconnecting electronically for the week!
Join us this summer on our annual trip to the Montreat Youth Conference. Throughout the week, we will hear great speakers and preachers, participate in energizers and recreation, and have fellowship in small groups and fellowship. Montreat Youth Conference clears space for encountering God, discovering and deepening a vibrant and durable faith in Jesus Christ, and hearing an invitation to make a personal commitment to embody the love, justice and righteousness of Christ.
