Welcome to Shallowford Children’s ministry! We are delighted to have you join our safe, nurturing environment for children from newborn through 5th grade. We seek to help the children in our care grow in their faith, guided by God’s love. At Shallowford, our children are active participants in the whole church, nurtured by the love and care of many faithful adult volunteers and staff. There is always something happening for both parents and children.

Sunday Mornings
Sunday school classes are typically divided by age: Toddlers & Two-Year-Olds, Three-Year-Olds & PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Sunday school is offered from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and is led by a team of faithful adult volunteers.
During 11:00 a.m. worship, all children are invited to the chancel steps for a brief Children’s Sermon. Children ages 3 through K are then dismissed for Cherub Choir practice, led by our children’s choir director.

Vacation Bible School
Shallowford Presbyterian School

Serving preschool through grade school, Shallowford Presbyterian School (SPS) provides a loving, safe environment in which each child feels special and important. For over 50 years, SPS has nurtured thousands of children, many of whom have returned to enroll their own children.
Shallowford Presbyterian School is accredited by AdvancED.

Childcare
God’s love for our children is reflected in the care and nurture the children receive in our infant and toddler nurseries. A team of professional caregivers and trained volunteers care for children in the nursery suite located adjacent to the sanctuary. Childcare is available on Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages three and younger.
Child Protection & Safety
As we nurture, support, educate, and guide our children and youth, we are dedicated to protecting them from physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at all times.
