At Shallowford we love to worship God, be together as a whole church, and grow in our study of scripture through worship. Our hope is that through our order of worship you will find your own unique connection to God.

8:45 AM

A 45-minute service in the chapel, complete with scripture, hymns, and a sermon. This service is perfect for early risers and those who prefer a more intimate worship experience.

Sunday Worship

10:00 AM

During the month of July and on select Sundays, Shallowford combines both worship services to Worship As One. Instead of offering both 8:45 and 11 a.m. services these Sundays, we welcome you sit next to an unfamiliar face and lean into this special worship opportunity. This hour-long service includes scripture, hymns, and a sermon.

Sunday Worship

11:00 AM

An hour-long service in the sanctuary, including full choir, guest instrumentalists, scripture, hymns, and a sermon.

On the first Sunday of every month visitors, members, children, and friends from all over are invited for fellowship and a shared meal together in the Great Hall.

We know coming to a new church for the first time can often be intimidating. Our Hospitality team members are happy to greet you at the door to answer any questions you may have. We invite you to check out the information kiosk located just outside the sanctuary. Here you will find brochures and information on our many different ministries, including Music, Children, Youth, Christian Education, Congregational Care, and Support Groups, plus information about the school.

Opportunities for Children

We offer safe and nurturing childcare for children and infants children ages 0-3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our nursery suite, located in the lower atrium.

    • Children ages 2 through kindergarten are invited to explore the meaning of faith and the Bible. They meet in classes divided by age group, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
    • Children 1st through 5th grade get a fun-filled experience every Sunday, 9:30-10:30 a.m., rotating through stations to get creative and learn about the Bible.
    • During the 11:00 a.m. service, all children are invited to walk to the front of the sanctuary for a brief Children’s Sermon. Then, ages 3 through kindergarten leave worship to join Cherub Choir practice, led by our children’s choir director.

Opportunities for Youth

With a vibrant teaching team and real-world curriculum, middle and high school students (grades 6 – 12) are invited to grow more deeply in their faith and build rich relationships during the Sunday school hour.

Opportunities for Adults

Adults can gather in small group classes for study, discussion, and relationship building each Sunday. We offer classes for people in all stages of life and faith, exploring a variety of topics. These groups are a great place to begin and continue our journeys of faith.

Sunday mornings for children ages three and younger

God’s love for our children is reflected in the care and nurturing children receive in our infant and toddler nurseries. A team of professional caregivers and trained volunteers cares for children ages three and younger in the nursery suite located adjacent to the sanctuary. Parents are invited to pick up their child after the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
