Deeper Discipleship

Have you ever felt like you were coasting in your faith? This Lent, join us at Shallowford as we push one another toward deeper discipleship. Through weekly Wednesday evening small groups, worship, and Sunday school classes, we will explore six ways we put our faith into action: worship, prayer, listening, studying, serving, and creating. Join us as we stretch our faith together and strengthen our relationship with one another along the way.

Ash Wednesday

Together, we will gather in the chapel (12 pm) and in the sanctuary (7 pm) for a 45-minute service to remember our mortality and brokenness, and be offered the assurance of God’s never-ending grace and the opportunity for a new beginning.

Dive deeper into this four-week series in March as Pastor Anna leads a diverse group of Shallowford members in exploring the building blocks of our faith. We will discuss the Trinity, the interpretation of scripture, a Reformed understanding of salvation, and what makes Presbyterian doctrine and polity unique.

Groups will meet in the Great Hall for food, fellowship and explore how to deepen discipleship as we dive each week’s worship theme: pray, listen, study, serve, and create. Palm Sunday

March 24, 2024

A 60-minute service on Palm Sunday centered around the story of Jesus riding a colt into the city of Jerusalem. Join us as we sing Hosanna, wave our palms, and imagine what role we might have played in that first Palm Sunday parade.

Maundy Thursday

March 28, 2024
12:00 pm & 7:00 pm

Attend a 30-minute prayer service in the chapel in honor of Jesus’ gathering with his disciples to share the Last Supper.

Good Friday

March 29, 2024
12:00 pm & 7:00 pm 

A 30-minute Tenebrae service to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice Christ made for the sake of others. Join us in the chapel or in the sanctuary and online as we recall Christ’s death through worship.

Children’s Egg Hunt

March 30, 2024
10:00am

Children three through 5th grade are invited to attend the Annual Children’s Ministry Easter Egg Hunt at Shallowford! Morning activities include crafts, the telling of the Easter story, and egg hunts for all ages. Bring your baskets, and the whole family, for a full morning of faith, fun and fellowship. *This event is rain or shine.
