Rebecca Goode is excited to serve as the new Director of Communications!
Rebecca was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. She attended Mount Vernon Presbyterian High School in Sandy Springs where she was a proud member of the first graduating class in 2008. From there, she attended Valdosta State University where she served on the Executive Committee for her sorority, Phi Mu Fraternity, and the Public Relations Student Society of America Club. She was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society, Order of Omega, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. In 2012, Rebecca became a Cum Laude graduate with a degree in Communications and an emphasis in Public Relations.
Upon graduation, Rebecca moved back to Atlanta where she stepped foot into the field of communications at Phi Mu Fraternity’s National Headquarters. Here, she served on staff as Communications Coordinator helping to oversee all organizational communication. In 2014, Rebecca was promoted to Communications & Marketing Specialist where she became a crucial part in the development and everyday operations of the marketing department.
In her down time, you can find Rebecca spending time with family and friends hiking the North Georgia Mountains, volunteering in the community or cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs during football season.
Rebecca’s enthusiasm for Shallowford Presbyterian is made known. She looks forward to strengthening the Church’s communication by providing an outside perspective to the day-to-day operations. Rebecca is excited to meet members of the congregation and eager to develop personal and lasting relationships with each one of you!
