“Discovering Shallowford” classes are held three times per year and provide an opportunity to learn about Shallowford’s mission and vision, Christian faith in the 21st Century, and where you might find a home in the life and ministry of this congregation. The class meets on two consecutive Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Membership is open to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord, who affirm their reliance on God’s grace, and who intend to participate actively in the worship and mission of the church. If you would like to attend, let us know by emailing Rev. Anna George Traynham at [email protected]
Discovering Shallowford classes are held in Heritage Hall on the first floor of the Education building.
The next Discovering Shallowford class will take place over two Sundays in March.
Shallowford warmly invites visitors to become members of our family of faith. You may do so in one of the following ways:
- By Profession of Faith – Affirm your faith in Jesus Christ before Shallowford’s session and congregation. The Presbyterian Church (USA) recognizes all baptisms that were performed in the name of the triune God. If you have not been baptized, we will joyfully baptize you during that Sunday’s worship service.
- By Reaffirmation of Faith – If you have been a member of a Christian church but have not been active in recent years, you may join by re-affirming your faith in Jesus Christ.
- By Transfer of Membership – If you are a member of another church, you may join by asking Shallowford to request a transfer of membership letter from your former church.
