Dear Shallowford Family,

After seven years of service at Shallowford Presbyterian Church, the Session and Personnel Committee of Shallowford Presbyterian Church are excited to support the Rev. Bradley Kibler, Associate Pastor for Youth and Program Ministries, as she takes a 12-week sabbatical. Her last Sunday with us will be on Sunday, August 28, and we hope you’ll join us at the churchwide lunch.

Here is what to expect while Bradley is away:

  • Maggie Johnson will step into the role of Interim Director of Youth & Young Adults at 20 hours a week. She will manage Youth Sunday School & Fellowship on a weekly basis, with the assistance of Kenneth Linsley, Youth Committee Chair. She will also coordinate with our Young Adults for their monthly gatherings.
  • Rev. Anna George Traynham will act as the liaison for our Welcoming and Programs Committees. She will coordinate with chairs Brian DeBragga and Adrienne Mogge to ensure that the hospitality and fellowship at Shallowford remains vibrant.

With our full support, Bradley will step away from her role as Associate Pastor until Monday, November 28. She will not check church emails or voicemails during that time.

We look forward to hearing about Bradley’s sabbatical adventures when she returns!

A Note from Pastor Bradley:

I cannot believe that it has been seven years since I joined the Shallowford family! I am so grateful for this gift of sabbatical and the opportunity for rest, renewal, growth, and a little bit of fun. My plans include traveling abroad, visiting and learning from other churches, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling with my dog Louise. I will miss you all while I am away, but look forward to reuniting during the special season of Advent.
